Missionary Moms Lunch

Me, Donna Smith, Anne Peterson, Phyllis Perkins
Seattle Missionary Moms

There has been a mom I have wanted to meet since before Devin left on a mission. We are on a Missionary Moms email group, and we've talked since Devin got his call. Kristi and I seem to have a lot in common---as well as our sons both having so much in common. He is also serving in the Seattle mission and that's just the beginning of the similarities. We were glad when they finally got to meet---and we are hoping they will be companions sometime in the future.

So....we set up a lunch for when she was in town (she's from Colorado). Then we decided to see if other local Seattle moms wanted to join us (there are a TON!) And it grew. We decided to meet at one of the sister's homes in Orem. We all had so much fun. We talked of everything under the sun for 3 whole hours. Mostly about our sons and their missions though. I'm so glad that we had a chance to all meet. Unfortunately Kristi (from CO) had a family emergency and was not able to make it...so we'll try again next time she is in town.

I've since found out that Devin spent a lot of time with Donna's son Cory out in the mission field...even though they weren't companions. Small world!

So...on my birthday---I had to work. It's always a BIG thing to work on your birthday as you get a good 150 or more people saying Happy Birthday all day long! They decorate your desk up great, have treats, and I got a gift card to Texas Roadhouse. YUM. Guess it was worth working that day! This is part of my desk decorated. I should have taken a picture from the outside---there are lots more decorations on the other side of the counter. I'm smiling so big...because it's time to go home!

Easter Sunday

For the first time in a long time, everyone got new Easter outfits. We sent Devin a new tie instead of an outfit. Mom didn't find a new skirt until a week later but at least wore a new shirt :D

The girls wanted Koda in the picture too...but he always looks away just before we take the picture. In order to get a good one, I'd say 1......2......Koda...and then take the picture. It got everyone laughing!

My beautiful girls...inside and out!

Shawnee is Asked to Prom

Dark haired boy in a suit (on the left...Brayden) comes to the door...says...."Boss wanna talk to you...you can come the easy way...or da hard way" in his cute mob boss voice. Shawnee says...."well...I guess I'll be back in a few minutes" and goes out to the car where the red headed kid Derrick puts her in the car. They drive away in this black escalade and I"m laughing my head off. They drive about a mile where there is another car waiting. His dad is driving the 2nd car.

The boy, Devon, gets out and says...(in his best mob voice) "You have 2 choices. You can walk outta here with a hole in your gut and limping...or you can go to prom with me. I"ll give you a few days to decide".

AWWWWWWWWWWWW so cute. She is happy :D

Jaycee's Birthday Party

Jaycee decided that she REALLY wanted to go to Classic Skating for her party, so she could only invite a limited number of guests. We went from right after school at 3:30 until 8:30 that night. Garrin was still working, and Shawnee and Kaylee couldn't come...so it was just me and 6 giggling 11 and 12 year old girls. They really had a great time, and I was able to do a little reading in between watching all their activities and getting all their food lined up for them.

Catching Up

April 6......
Shawnee and Kaylee have been busy trying to get East Shore done.  I told them a few months ago that if they weren't done by Mar 31st that they would be grounded....Kaylee just has to take a test...but Shawnee still has 6 more packets.  So...guess she will be grounded for awhile.  Guess we'll get to see her a bit more though.  LOL!  School is coming to a close...can't believe Shawnee will graduate in 2 months--on June 3rd.

Today was conference which means that we went out to Gma and Gpa Bergers.  We drove out during the last song before Pres. Monson as we always do.  We drove by our old neighborhood on the way.  I heard this week that UDOT took out 5 houses...so went to look.  THey took out Bevans, Neaths, Hartleys. and Smiths, and Christensens.  Weird.  It looks SO SO odd...and so bad.  I hate that.  Poor people!  Anyway---weird

Shawnee started having trouble with her back .  She didn't get hit very hard..but the lady in an SUV and shawnee in a little car.  So...she saw Dr Barrus 3 times last week...and will see him more this week.

It was 74 yesterday and we woke up to 3 inches of snow today.  What the HECK???

Stefanie=34 lbs gone!
