Fourth of July can ONLY mean one thing----barbeques!!! We went to my parents house in Springville for a yummy lunch! My dad had rigged up an old slide from a swing set with a water hose to create a water slide. It went from the top of his balcony down to a little kiddie pool. Jaycee was afraid to go down it because there were bees swarming around. I love that some of the pictures below actually caught a bee in the picture..too funny..there were a ton of them! Jaycee's cousins Ryan and Sydney were waiting at the bottom for an ambush of water. They had a great time and even chased each other around with buckets of water in a water fight.
When it started getting dark, we went home for Cul-de-Sac of Fire. All the neighbors get together and we pooled our fireworks. That makes for a very long night and LOTS of fireworks! One of the neighbors shot up an illegal firework and within 20 seconds a police officer pulled around the corner. When he asked if we had shot an illegal firework---that's the quietest I've heard 50 people be! It turned out ok---he just asked us not to shoot off anymore and left.

So, yet again, our family missed the neighborhood drama. I hadn't heard about the visit from the police. Look what happens to the neighborhood when we are not around to keep you in line!!! Sounds like a great Fourth; glad you got some family time.
man...this was not our week for the police!!
