We have a family reunion coming up and we will need to take the suburban. Because gas is over $4 a gallon, we've had it unregistered and sitting in the garage for the last 6 months. We called the insurance company and put it in storage (so cheap...saved us a lot of money!!!) Yesterday I called the insurance company, took it out of storage, and Garrin drove it to work so that he could do the State Inspection and Emissions tests. I drove to work and pick it up and Shawnee drove me home. We were more than halfway home when she gasped, and said "Mom--there's a cop behind us with blinking lights". Yep---pulled over for no registration. Fortunately for us and after a few nail-biting minutes---he believed us. He told us NOT to drive to the DMV (hadn't planned on it!) but to go straight home and he'd let us off! Whew....what a relief! Kind of a dumb thing to do---I know! I teased Shawnee all day about making sure that the car she was driving was registered from now on. Guess she is "broken in" now! LOL!

I can't believe Shawnee's bad luck; what are the chances. I hate that feeling of seeing those red and blue lights. I've only seen them in my rear view mirror once and that was enough! Don't stress Shawnee, it doesn't happen often (oh wait, you live in Lehi, maybe more often than it should!).
Poor Shawnee! What horrible luck! Glad it was an honest mistake and that the cop went easy on you guys! Have a fun family reunion with the Suburban.
