Frightmares at Lagoon

We had been wanting to do a little family vacation before Devin left on his mission, but could never get away to do it. We finally decided to have Devin quit work a little early (almost 2 wks before he left) as he worked Saturdays, but that was the only day the rest of us could go. We quickly decided on Lagoon as our day getaway!

Shawnee, Kaylee, Jaycee, Devin

When we first got there, we decided to ride Wicked.....a fun little roller coaster that goes straight up...and straight down...yikes. I rode it for my first time and it's not as bad as it looks. We then went on a mouse-trap roller coaster..that spins you around in your chair WHILE you go on the roller coaster. Jaycee cried for most of that one. It was ok..but not my favorite. Those rides that spin you around like the tea cups make me sick. We walked around a bit and ended up at the bumper cars...that's always fun!

We rode the flyers

Kaylee's first time on Blast-off. she looks awfully worried!

They had lots of cut-outs because of it being frightmares. We also went into the haunted houses.

Jaycee's favorite ride

Garrin and Devin got tickets for the priesthood session of conference unexpectedly. They had been before and loved it. They knew it would be a few years before they could do it again, so they decided to go. It was only about a half hour drive from Lagoon to the conference center, so they left us girls there and went. The girls and I ate dinner at Subway and Arbys inside to the tune of about $40. OUCH. While we were eating, this big scary dude was walking around. We took a little break, and then rode the train around.

By this time, we figured out that it was getting REALLY chilly and that Garrin and Devin had our coats in the car....in SALT LAKE. We were stuck. We shivered, but were able to go into a show and watch. Even though it was outside, it was a little warmer because there were so many people packed in there. We rode the carousel a few more times and the boys got back. They really enjoyed going to the Priesthood session together.

We were able to ride a few more favorites and watch one more show before they closed down. It was such a great family day!!!
