Here we go again!

THE GREAT BEFORE PICTURE...................

THE AFTER PICTURE.........

Kaylee got her braces back on again today She chose pink and black bands this time and did really well getting them on. I was really worried as she was REALLY sick with the stomach flu yesterday and I didn't think she'd be able to hold her mouth open that long with yucky things in her mouth like glue and all that. What a trooper! I think she looks cute with them on...but of course she doesn't. She's never had the bottoms on before so it's definitely something to get used to. Her teeth are pretty sore too.

Science Fair

Kaylee and her friend Bekah did a joint science fair project this year and went onto district. They tested boys and girls to see if there was a diffence in ability to complete certain tasks faster. Kaylee's friend Brianne also had her project too. None of them won any awards that night--but they had fun at least.

Wonder no more!

Do you ever wonder what happens when you are not at home? Well---wonder no more. I always come back to find pictures on my camera--and sometimes videos. Here are January/February's random photos----yes---that is Kaylee flying through the air (although it's out of focus) to land on the beany bag.

Cousin It perhaps???
No--the photo is NOT upsidedown...
The many faces of the Ellis girls.........

More Weekend of Nephews!

Ok---who is next??? We've been enjoying all the nephews who have been coming to visit us! This weekend Darci and Dustin came to visit and brought Ella---the hit at our house. She will turn 1 the first part of April. We got to watch her while they went on a date with some friends, and of course--the camera came out. Unfortunately---we didn't get pictures of Darci and Dustin (oops) but here's their little cutie.

Here come the Grizzlies!

A friend at work gave me 6 tickets to go to a hockey game so today was the big day. I love watching hockey---especially the fights. (hard to believe---I know). We were glad to see a fight within the first minute of the game...and one more later on. They are actually kind of comical to watch--very entertaining. And no---I do NOT like boxing---that is WAY different!

Kaylee had her last indoor soccer game tonight and made the first goal of the evening. We were hopeful that they would win---but in the end---they lost. It was fun anyway and got her back into the swing of things for soccer season right around the corner. We left from her game and ran by Little Cesaers to grab some pizza. We ate in the car on the way up to the Grizzlies game and arrived just a few minutes before game time.

I made them all pose in front of the bronze statue of 2 hockey players---Devin gave me 30 seconds to get the picture over with as he didn't really want to stand in front of it. Thanks for being a good sport anyway, Devin!

We actually had great seats---I think we were on Row 12 so we had a great view.

Here we all are: Shawnee and Devin, me....then up behind us is Kaylee and Garrin. Guess Jaycee took the picture.

Friends from work: Stefanie, Sheena & Marcie (and that's Jerry by Marcie)

I thought this was a cute picture of Kaylee and Shawnee---even if Shawnee kept goofing off and making faces at me.

Why Take OUT the Wisdom?

Teeth---that is. Yesterday, Devin had all 4 wisdom teeth... leaving him.......... ummm...... wisdomless? Just kidding Devin! He had 2 that were partially in, 1 barely coming up and 1 impacted. They only worked on him for a mere 20-30 min to get all that done. Now comes the fun part!

This picture was taken just AFTER they were taken out....and here come the funnies!

First of all--he HAD to have the hat back immediately--even though he was suppose to be laying down. The phone came next---INSISTING he needed to text. Wow...sorry to whomever he was texting...hope it made sense! Then they asked him to lay on his right side. Well, Devin having had a little medical training, points to his head and says "recovery position....I remember". Well....I'm getting a good kick out of him, but it's not over yet!

He says "Wow, I just had a POWER nap!" and then..."give me my coat." Well----considering that he can't actually put it ON and he has 2 blankets anyway...and I'm FREEZING....I say "no..you're ok" to which he responds " I paid for that coat with my OWN money." Wow was he out of it. I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes. He wanted to sit up within 10 min and was bugging me to go home. When they wheel him out to the car in a wheelchair, he says "I'm actually feeling just fine---I can drive if you want." HA! Fat chance buddy!

Here he is today---not really too swollen! He's doing pretty good and not feeling much pain. Matter of fact---he's bouncing off the walls.

Sweetheart's Masquerade Ball

Shawnee took Danny to the Sweetheart's Masquerade Ball as it was a girl's choice dance. They got to our house at about 3:00 where each person made a mask for their date. They watched Phantom of the Opera while doing it and ate LOADS of candy.

Making Masks

Shawnee and Danny wearing the masks they made for each other

They left about 6:30ish to go to Lexi's and eat waffles and ice cream. Then they got ready. Girls from left to right: Liesel, Annie, Shawnee, Lexy. Boys from left to right: Braydon, Michael, Danny and Tony.

Shawnee and Danny again---with and without masks in their dress up clothes.

A weekend of nephews.....

Thursday I came home from Parent Teacher Conference to see our nephew Cory here. He was on his way back home from Idaho Falls to Cedar City and his ride wasn't coming until 1am so he stopped to visit. It was fun visiting with him---although I was exhausted and bombed out on the visit by 10pm.......Sorry Cory! Now...hopefully Cory doesn't get his feelings hurt that I didn't take a picture of HIM and put it on our blog since I have a "few" pictures of Leilani coming up. (Cory...next time bring the kids) (oh...and wife too!)

The next night our nephew Mark, his wife Aki and their little 18 mo old Leilani got here about midnight. Still tired....I said hello, pointed them to their room and went back to bed. I think I'm fighting getting sick, so I'm not my usual night-owl self. We spent Saturday with them while Garrin worked on their car. Leilani was a hit. The only problem was----Saturday morning I ran Jaycee out to the instacare where we learned she had strep throat. She woke up with a 103.8 and even after Tylenol it was only down to 102.5. The day before she had also had a high fever. She was devasted that she would not be able to play with Leilani. Matter of fact....she's STILL upset about it a day later. She was really looking forward to it!

When I asked Leilani a question, she put her hands up like she didn't know the answer..cute! Here she is playing with Uncle Garrin

Jaycee was the photographer most of the day since we didn't let her get near Leilani. The doctor said no hugs or kisses and she could sit about 3-4 feet away safely. We did get a quick picture of her with Jaycee so she wouldn't feel left out.

Jaycee got quite a few videos on my camera but I can't get any to post right now. Anyway---it's cute of Leilani dancing to the music. She's going to be able to do the hula like her mama!

He said ............

Shawnee made a candy bar poster to ask her friend Danny to the Sweethearts ball at school. Unfortunately, we forgot to take a picture of it until it was too late! UGH! Instead of signing her poster, she signed it with her cell phone number. Tonight as she was in the shower, this was left at the front door.

She used the microwave and hot water to get to the bottom of things....................

Inside the red heart.................she finally sees.................a note saying "yes! I'd love to go to Sweethearts with you" signed by his cell phone number. Guess I can't post THAT picture or he'll be getting a lot of random calls.....lol!

Thanks to Kaylee, my little photographer, I didn't miss a thing! I hadn't been feeling too good so I was soaking in the tub. Kaylee captured it ALL for me :) Sweetheart's ball is on Valentine's Day.
