With a corn cob pipe and a CUPCAKE nose....

Yep----I said a CUPCAKE nose....We woke up today to several inches of snow---much to everyone's disappointment! We are all ready for SPRING...especially after several days of 70 degrees!!! After school, Jaycee decided to build a little snowman and she had just baked some little cupcakes too--so she incorporated them into her little snowman.

YES--those are all my flowers peeking out from the snow. Hope it doesn't kill them all--tbey were starting to look so pretty. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I Missed it!

Yesterday was the Draper Temple Dedication. We had gotten our recommends the week before and were excited because it was the first time all our kids were old enough to attend the dedication. We got there before the appointed time and I just sat down to listen...when I suddenly started feeling sick. Within 5 minutes, I had sweat pouring down my face and REALLY did not think I was going to make it! I kept trying to talk myself through it, but finally 15 min before it started, I had to get up and leave.

I sat on the couch in the foyer for about 30 seconds before realizing that I REALLY needed to get home---I was so sick! I made it to the car feeling like things around me were turning black and I thought I'd pass out. I sat in the car for about 30 seconds before high-tailing it home. Luckily we're just several blocks away. Anyway---slept for about an hour until the girls and Garrin got home...but felt kind of queasy the rest of the day and some of today too. Bummer! It's odd that it hit so quickly! The only thing I could figure is that we had fasted all day because of some decisions we needed to make and then came home and had to hurry and eat and get back to the church I don't know, but I'm sad that I missed it. Garrin and the girls thought it was really nice (although Jaycee admits that she fell asleep sometime during it)

Moving on to Nieces.........

Our niece Ashurity and Wes (and of course Pyper) came to visit us this weekend. She wasn't too sure about the girls hauling her around if her mama was in sight. She's a cutie. We didn't have tons of time to visit--but it was fun anyway. Ashley says she is next.....then what will we do?

Here we go again!

THE GREAT BEFORE PICTURE...................

THE AFTER PICTURE.........

Kaylee got her braces back on again today She chose pink and black bands this time and did really well getting them on. I was really worried as she was REALLY sick with the stomach flu yesterday and I didn't think she'd be able to hold her mouth open that long with yucky things in her mouth like glue and all that. What a trooper! I think she looks cute with them on...but of course she doesn't. She's never had the bottoms on before so it's definitely something to get used to. Her teeth are pretty sore too.

Science Fair

Kaylee and her friend Bekah did a joint science fair project this year and went onto district. They tested boys and girls to see if there was a diffence in ability to complete certain tasks faster. Kaylee's friend Brianne also had her project too. None of them won any awards that night--but they had fun at least.

Do you ever wonder what happens when you are not at home? Well---wonder no more. I always come back to find pictures on my camera--and sometimes videos. Here are January/February's random photos----yes---that is Kaylee flying through the air (although it's out of focus) to land on the beany bag.

Cousin It perhaps???

More Weekend of Nephews!

Ok---who is next??? We've been enjoying all the nephews who have been coming to visit us! This weekend Darci and Dustin came to visit and brought Ella---the hit at our house. She will turn 1 the first part of April. We got to watch her while they went on a date with some friends, and of course--the camera came out. Unfortunately---we didn't get pictures of Darci and Dustin (oops) but here's their little cutie.

Here come the Grizzlies!

A friend at work gave me 6 tickets to go to a hockey game so today was the big day. I love watching hockey---especially the fights. (hard to believe---I know). We were glad to see a fight within the first minute of the game...and one more later on. They are actually kind of comical to watch--very entertaining. And no---I do NOT like boxing---that is WAY different!

Kaylee had her last indoor soccer game tonight and made the first goal of the evening. We were hopeful that they would win---but in the end---they lost. It was fun anyway and got her back into the swing of things for soccer season right around the corner. We left from her game and ran by Little Cesaers to grab some pizza. We ate in the car on the way up to the Grizzlies game and arrived just a few minutes before game time.

I made them all pose in front of the bronze statue of 2 hockey players---Devin gave me 30 seconds to get the picture over with as he didn't really want to stand in front of it. Thanks for being a good sport anyway, Devin!

We actually had great seats---I think we were on Row 12 so we had a great view.

Here we all are: Shawnee and Devin, me....then up behind us is Kaylee and Garrin. Guess Jaycee took the picture.

Friends from work: Stefanie, Sheena & Marcie (and that's Jerry by Marcie)

I thought this was a cute picture of Kaylee and Shawnee---even if Shawnee kept goofing off and making faces at me.

Why Take OUT the Wisdom?

Teeth---that is. Yesterday, Devin had all 4 wisdom teeth... leaving him.......... ummm...... wisdomless? Just kidding Devin! He had 2 that were partially in, 1 barely coming up and 1 impacted. They only worked on him for a mere 20-30 min to get all that done. Now comes the fun part!

This picture was taken just AFTER they were taken out....and here come the funnies!

First of all--he HAD to have the hat back immediately--even though he was suppose to be laying down. The phone came next---INSISTING he needed to text. Wow...sorry to whomever he was texting...hope it made sense! Then they asked him to lay on his right side. Well, Devin having had a little medical training, points to his head and says "recovery position....I remember". Well....I'm getting a good kick out of him, but it's not over yet!

He says "Wow, I just had a POWER nap!" and then..."give me my coat." Well----considering that he can't actually put it ON and he has 2 blankets anyway...and I'm FREEZING....I say "no..you're ok" to which he responds " I paid for that coat with my OWN money." Wow was he out of it. I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes. He wanted to sit up within 10 min and was bugging me to go home. When they wheel him out to the car in a wheelchair, he says "I'm actually feeling just fine---I can drive if you want." HA! Fat chance buddy!

Here he is today---not really too swollen! He's doing pretty good and not feeling much pain. Matter of fact---he's bouncing off the walls.
